2003-11-10 - 8:03 p.m.

I'm in the school computer lab now, typing away.

I just realized I have a ton of stuff to do for Wednesday's class, and we have to work on the Thursday night class's project. Fuck.

One assignment: Find three sources (and bring them in) for a 7-10 pg paper due in over a month. WTF? Why do I need this for a paper due so far in advance?

Fucking stupid class.

At least I found a resource to access a ton of journals online.

I can't wait for this term to be over. In 2004, I plan on taking, at most, 2 classes per term, unless I go back to being a day student.

In other news, I haven't had a butt all day. I guess that is a good thing, but I feel all jittery and my throat is scratchy. Goal: to quit by Thanksgiving. Wish me luck.

Speaking of Turkey Day, I can go to my family's Thanksgiving this year. This use to be a regular thing, but recently, what with work and all, I haven't been going regularly. I am going for Thursday morning 'till Sunday. My father will be returning Thursday night, leaving my mother, brother and I w/ one car in a forgein state. Hopefully, we will not kill each other.

Still, I am looking forward to it. I had the option of going just for the day (I could have said I needed to work), but I decided to make plans to go to New York.

God, I am hungry.

My folks, well, my mother, ordered two cords of wood to be delivered to their house on Wednesday. They are leaving for New York on Thursday, so guess who gets to move it over the weekend, that's right, my brother and I. Two cords, that's 128 cubic feet of wood. God, I hope it doesn't snow.

Who the fuck is going to burn 128 cubic feet of wood over a winter anyway? Well, that's my mom. She's German and she grew up on a farm.

She says she ordered the wood to "save on heating costs." Well, since I am out of the house, she will save on heating costs since I wouldn't need to heat the downstairs!

In addition to the work for the goddamn remedial English course, I also have a Stats test next Monday. Hopefully, I will still have time to study over the weekend.

My Aunt's vist went fine. She was drunk a lot of the time on Friday, which helped. She offered to get me stuff for the apartment. On Sunday, we all went out for dinner, which was nice. She was too tired at that point to be a pain. Over all, it was better than I expected. She invited Evan and I to the Neary family Turkey Day in Long Island. I may just take her up on that.

At least at work we had a break through w/ management today. It used to be that you were expected to always have 40 hrs per week on the books, even if when you worked on the weekends, you were not scheduled for 40 hrs. As such, ppl had to come in on their days off or stay late to make up time to avoid using comp time to fill out 40 hrs. Now, we don't need 40 hrs a week. Thank god, that was such a hassle. I worked yesterday for overtime. That will be nice. A little bonus for me.

God, they better give me a Xmas bonus and a raise in Febuary.

Yesterday at work I spent 5 hrs talking with Bill's friend jaberwacky. I would have posted our conversation, but something screwy happened and I lost it.

Damn, Framingham State has totally different girls than UVM. UVM had nice granola type girls who, even if they were a little stuck up, were still apporachable and nice. FSC, on the other hand, is swimming in "hoochie-mamas" these girls who bleach out their hair, expose their midriffs well into November, completly buy into the Playboy beauty ideal, and are total bitches. Oh well.

Its like I am in Californa. Southern Californa, not Northern Californa.

Oh well.

On Friday I went out to my parents' house, hung out w/ them and my aunt, and came home and read. Saturday night I went over the J & Jess's and we played Tao Feng (which is incredible) and Talisman (sorry Chris). Lots of fun. Sunday I worked, came home and napped, then went out to dinner.

So I ask my folks if they have a printer I can use. "Yes," they say "we can get it from the attic." Ok. So where is it? I have been asking them to get the printer from the attic for over 6 weeks now. Where is it? If you don't want to give me a printer, or you don't think you have one, just freaking tell me!

So I ask my folks if they have an answering machine I can have. "Yes," they say, "I have it hear, but it doesn't have the power cord." The machine is non-functional w/o the power cord. Thanks a lot.

Ok, well I got out of class early, but I have a long drive ahead, and I am fucking hungry. Catch you folks later.

Bye-

-Jesse
