Back home from work and school (Thursdays are Principles of Management w/ the ex DEA special agent, Mondays are Medical Sociology w/ the crazy dude) and just kicking back a little. I just finished up a grilled steak grindah and am relaxing w/ the 2nd Guiness. Mmm... smooth, nutty...

The last few weeks I have been plagued by migraines. Right now, I feel MUCH better. Thank god. I might still need to take a muscle relaxant, but i feel head and shoulders above what I felt for the last few days.

Unfornutly, w/ my Migraines and what, I've shot my chance to go to Indies next week. Even if I still had the Paid Time Off, I don't think I'd go. The good news is that I have an appointment w/ a neuroologist on the time if I scheduled.

*sigh*

Gotta pay the rent, gotta buy the books for school. Gotta save up for all the shit like car and school and such that will be coming up.

Gotta, gotta, gotta.

What I really gotta do is make time for poetry, go out with my friends, live a little.

Going out to Sturbridge for a Super Bowl party on Sunday. I'll probably the youngest person there. Should be cool.

But still, I feel like life is passing me by just a little.

Asking for UN persmission to attack Iraq or invoke any other military action is pointless. The UN, as a military body, is useless. It is impeded by the fact that its really power is held by the Sercuity Council and the nations w/ permant status in that body can do whatever the fuck they want anyway. The General Assembly, the greater UN body, is impotent to pass any meaningful military legislation. Dean is an idoit for saying we should have had the UN's permission to attack Iraq, because either a) he doesn't know the UN is a flacid organ in terms of the military or b) he is too wussy to say he opposed the war altogether. I'm not saying the UN is effect in other spheres of infulence, just that as an interventionist body, it fails to perform.

To my roommate: "If we presume that the human race is a self-destructive bunch of bacteria crawling across the earth, hell-bent on their own destrcution, then war maybe good."

Do people think Pete Rose should be allowed into the Hall of Fame? Should he be allowed to reenter the game as a manager?

Dave and I agree that he probably should be in the Hall of Fame, but Dave is strongly opposed to letting him return to management. Personally, I don't oppose Pete Rose as a manager, but I don't think any team would hire him, nor do I think he would be effective because, after 14 yrs of lying, he would have to work VERY hard to gain people's trust.

I saw the Return of the King the other night, and it certainly did not live up to the hype. It was shoot very poorly in the battle scences, with the camera jumping everywhere every 15 seconds. I gave me a freaking headache.

Jumping around every 15 seconds may work in some art forms, like blogs, montages, etc, but in film it just makes me ill.

What happened to things like Touch of Evil, with its 15 mintues establishing shot?

The Lord of the Rings wasn't all that.

"Oh, but Jesse, it was such a popular film, and it had so much hype and such."

Yeah, whatever, fuck you.

What the fuck are the Golden Globes anyway? Who picks the winners?

Ghost and stuff for later.

Blast from the past. I'm listening to Sheryl Crow. Haven't put this album on in year.

"do you mind if I just, move my hand like thus? C'mon on just my hand, c'mon just my hand. What I can do for you, no one else on God's green Earth can do."
