On Febuary 11th, debate on Beacon Hill will likely begin on an amendment to overturn the Goodridge finding that legalizes gay marriage. There are currently two possible amendments that may be discussed, one out and out banning gay marriage and the other affording at least "some" of the rights of marriage to same-sex unions.

Both of these are bad ideas.

With debate begining very soon, WE MUST contact our reps and let them know what we think. Call your State Senator and Represenitve today, during lunch hour or whenever. Call Mitt Romney's office. Call Kerry and Kennedy and McGovern (McGovern, I should note, is a super-swell guy). CALL, CALL, CALL!
