This just in (according to Rep. Fresolo's office):

The House has voted in favor of the amendment to redefine marriage as an institution between a man and a woman with the provision for civil unions between other individuals.

According to Sen Glodis's office, the Senate is discussing it at this time.

As per the Mass. Con-Con procedure, this must be voted on again next year on Beacon Hill and by the public in Nov of 2006.

This is a failure for civil libertarians.
